The history of the Journal’s serial
1-The beginning: the journal of Hukuk was issued by Saddam College of law (Hukuk) since 1987 holding the title “Saddam University’s Journal –Law”, but the specific date of the publication of the first issue is ill-documented, because its achieve was destroyed within the last war on Iraqi in 2003, and the majority of its editorial board have ever died or retired. In addition, internet service and the emerge of electronic journals was delayed in Iraq until 2003 due to the world sanctions and the war on this country.
2-The position after the 2003 War: after the falling down of Saddam Hussein Regime, the journal was published unserious issues until 2005 due to the political position of Iraq.
3-In 2007: the title of the College (the publisher) was replaced from “the College of Law” to be affiliated to “Nahrain University”. This position necessitated replacing the journal’s title to be “the Journal of the College of taw” which is holding ISSN No. (1815-6630).
4- Changing the journal’s Title: a decision was taken by the board of the University in 2020 to change the title of the journal to be “Nahrain College of Legal Sciences”, and procedures have been done by the editorial Board to carry out this decision.
5-the first issue holding the aforesaid title is on January, vol.26, issue No. (1) 2024, holding the provisional ISSN (3006-0605).
